Brands

Givenchy, founded in 1952 by designer Hubert de Givenchy, is an international luxury brand known for its haute couture, ready-to-wear collections for men and women and fashion accessories. Its iconic little black dress became a rage all over the fashion world after Hollywood actress, Audrey Hepburn wore it in the old classic, "Breakfast at Tiffany's."

Hubert de Givenchy retired after forty-three years of fashion design.

Since 2005, Riccardo Tisci has been appointed Artistic Director of the women's haute couture, ready to wear and accessories collections. In 2008, his contract was renewed, expanding to menswear and its accessories. Aristocratic and distinctive, sober and mysteriously sensual, he has tenaciously built a coherent, modern universe at Givenchy, firmly anchored in the company's illustrious heritage, but determinedly forward-looking.

2013 Sun Collection For Woman
For the 2013 summer season, Riccardo Tisci, art director of the Givenchy Maison, has designed a rich collection of sunglasses for women inspired by the male fashion world. The collection encloses a wealth of stylish details, sometimes hidden from sight, embellishing squared and aviator retro frames.
Drawing on the design themes closest to his heart, Riccardo Tisci's collection revels in animal prints, and in details from the fashion house's most distinctive accessories, in particular the Antigona and Obsedia bags. The colour range plays on tortoise shell and horn effect finishes paired with clear and contrasting elements, with surprising results. Grey, purple and red mark the shaded and often mirrored lenses of next summer's collection, for a truly impenetrable ga.
2013 Sun Collection For Men
The 2013 sun collection for men by Riccard Tisci, art director of the Givenchy Maison, draws inspiration from the past, giving a contempory new look to classic shapes and details. The new collection is distincly vintage in flavour, with decorative frames and temples enriched with chainlike trims. The aviator model comes in several versions: with leather or wooden inserts, or with an opaque finish. The Givenchy sun collection for men blends sophisticated design, attention to detail and high quality lenses. Solid colour versions come with high-performing, shaded or polarised lenses. The colours range from classic black and tortoise shell to brighter hues, such as red and blue, often enriched with horn-effect streaking. Another distinguishing feature of the collection for men is a small star placed on the inside of the temple tips.

2013 Optical Collection For Women
The 2013 optical collection is the synthesis of the aesthetic of Givenchy's creative director, Riccardo Tisci. Dedicated to self-confident women, the new styles are about graphic lines and sophisticated femininity. Their frames feature distinctive details embodying all of Givenchy's signature elements. Oval, rounded or slightly tapering profiles feature alongside squared and linear models metal, acetate or even unusual blends of carefully selected materials. Specific metal details and production processes - underscored by the use of contrasting colours - echo the stitching typical of Givenchy leather accessories. Great attention is paid to colours: from earth tones, black and tortoiseshell to new and unusual combinations, such as a patchwork motif customising temples and front pieces with an exclusive paisley pattern.
2013 Optical Collection For Men
The 2013 Givenchy optical collection reinterprets classic masculine eyewear with metal chain elements as featured in the men's ready-to-wear collections. Clean lines contrast sophisticated metal details and simple yet striking profiles. The metal frames - available in gold, brown and gunmetal grey - come with a unique aged finishing. Ranging from black to tortoiseshell, the colours extend to unusual shades of horn and woodeffect streaking.
